Winter White Heirloom Hanky Dress
This dress was made for my dear friend Karen. The hanky is one of several that she rescued from a home in Sterling, Colorado. Most of them had been terribly neglected and she generously gave them to me knowing that they would once again be appreciated.
Some of them had small 1 1/2" x 1/2" scraps of aged paper enscribed with the original owners' names attached with a single straight pin. A few were even labeled 1930. This particular hanky had obviously never been used as evidenced by it's label and condition. The label indicates that it is pure linen and was made in Switzerland.
